I made icing for the first time in my mixer, it was a lot easier with a stand mixer though I did make as big of a mess. Next time I don’t think I’ll make as big of a mess because I understand a bit more how it works. I got a smoother icing with less milk which was super awesome. I’ve also been investigating fondant, and I’ve found a bunch of recipes but I think I’ll stick with the Wilton recipe for now, if the taste and consistency isn’t right then I’ll try another recipe. I’m going to get the ingredients I need for fondant this weekend and try to make some and experiment with it. I want to see if I can make make some figures or something. I’d love to eventually get some tools and really get into this.
